Brevard Offering Lifeguard Training Course in Palm Bay

Palm Bay, Florida - A lifeguard training course will be offered in February and March in Palm Bay at the Palm Bay Aquatic Center.  

The Lifeguard Training Course classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Monday, February 27, 2012 and ending Wednesday, March 21, 2012.  The classes will last from 4:30 pm until 8:30 pm each time.  

The Lifeguard Training Course at the Palm Bay Aquatic Center costs $160 which includes books and a CPR mask. 

The course will certify participants in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid.  Participants must be 15 years of age and pass a swim test consisting of a 300-yard swim and brick retrieval at a depth of 10 feet.

The aquatic center is located at 420 Community College Parkway, just south of the Brevard Community College Campus.  This activity is sponsored by the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department.
